Not just movies, But also Art

This was the first time I had ever heard of Film Noir and it is nothing like I expected to be. This genre of film was not developed on purpose rather it was directors way to express their views about what was going on in the world during this time. Film Noir often express things in a dark, sadistic way. The lighting , shadows, and setting in murky atmosphere were just a few of the things that help to capture the views. Film Noir helped to portray how some people felt after World War II. Some examples of Film Noir are; The Maltese Falcon(1941), Dark Passage(1947), The Naked City(1948), and Dirty Harry(1971) these are just a small fraction of the movies in this genre.
