I think that horror films today are way too gorey. I like the horror films that keep you hanging off your seat and keep you in suspense, not sitting in your seat hiding behind your hands becuase someone is getting their head chopped off. I enjoyed the link. I think I am going to use it for my paper! Thanks!
The title of a Horror movie has branched off into other film titles such as Slashers and Snuff films. The Horror that most people grew up with were the psychological thrillers rather than loud, scary noises, and knives and crazy weapons used to murder innocent victims. I enjoy watching old school horror films because they leave you disturbed rather than just scared for the second that the killer jumps out from around the corner.
Horror films in today's society are to gorey, but we still go pay our money to go see the movie. I think that we have expectations of the movie not being a typical horror but we are let down every time
